About the role

The Operations Specialist is responsible for a variety of regular and recurring deposit operations functions, to support overall bank operations. Responsibilities include electronic fund transfers, processing daily overdraft and exception items, deposit maintenance and account research, as well as special projects related to bank deposit operations.

Position can be located in Moline, IL or Fulda, MN. This is not a remote position.

What you will do

  • Works with unposted items, overdrafts and exceptions, deposit maintenance and account research, processing legal notices, account analysis, and entry and maintenance of item
  • Provides customer support for electronic transfers of funds and processing disputes on various types of transactions.
  • Ensures return processes and handling of unauthorized transactions for ACH, debit card, and checks are handled timely and accurately.
  • Supports business and retail banking platforms including reviewing remote deposit items, adding accounts, creating and reviewing commercial set ups and processing monthly billing.
  • Reviews account documentation for Deposit and CD products for completeness and accuracy.
  • Completes requests from internal and external clients regarding account maintenance, asset verifications, research requests and generates reports.
  • Assists internal departments and external customers with deposit related processing inquiries.
  • Provides back-up Deposit Support functions such as wires, vault and fraud.
  • Assists with special projects including system integrations, upgrades or releases.
  • Other duties as assigned.

What you will need

  • High School diploma or equivalent.
  • Previous banking operations experience in accounting or deposit operations preferred.
  • Functional knowledge of accounting concepts and procedures and banking operations.
  • Strong PC skills including proficiency in MS Excel and Word.
