SUMMARY:
Provide individualized and group services to individuals with intellectual and developmental disabilities to support their ability to attain their highest vocational outcome possible. Responsible for retention of funding and revenue of stakeholders served through on-the-job training, job coaching, and relationships with employers in the community. Promotes client independence and access to community resources.
OUTCOMES:
As a member of The Arc Fresno/Madera Counties team:
1. Promote Person-Centered employment planning and services.
2. Ensures that the individuals receive appropriate support to meet their desired employment outcome.
3. Helps build and promote positive community relations to ensure employment and training opportunities are available.
4. Promote and develop employment at the level desired by the individual.
5. Is a role model for everyone that employment is a possibility for all individuals with intellectual and developmental disabilities.
DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES: To perform this job successfully, an individual must be able to perform each of the following essential duties satisfactorily.
Understand and implements the principles of job development helping individuals identify, seek, attain, and maintain employment. Uses appropriate assessment tools to gain a deeper understanding of each individual’s employment desires, strengths, and challenges.
Maintain client employment to increase client income and program revenue through CIE incentive program, to ensure long-term retention for stakeholders served.
Maintain collaborative relationships with community employers to ensure retention and opportunities for future client’s to maintain revenue streams.
Through community activities, engages community resources, local businesses, and governmental entities to provide opportunities for individuals seeking employment to both discover and explore potential jobs, and find a pathway to long-term employment
Use Task Analysis, Systematic Instruction, and other supports as tools to help demonstrate to businesses how we create the win/win outcome, of meeting a business need and providing employment/training opportunities for individuals with I/DD.
Understands and uses the tools available to them to create opportunities, through the use of Assessments, Task Analysis, Systematic Instruction, Situational Assessments, and develop and support Paid Internship opportunities.
The Arc Fresno/Madera Counties
Utilizes on-the-job coaching to help individuals achieve their desired employment outcome and promote long-term retention of Competitive Integrated Employment.
Finds and provides the community resources to help individuals understand the impact of employment on other benefits they may receive and help access opportunities that help receive the maximum benefits of being employed.
Responsible for creating goals and tracking and documenting progress towards meeting those goals daily for billing and tracking purposes.
Maintains and shares a list of community resources, training options, and potential employment (including Job Discovery and Exploration) opportunities to maximize opportunities for all individuals supported by The Arc.
Ensure implementation of avail software and client utilization through daily tracking on goals and outcomes for billing and tracking purposes.
Maintain required documentation and turn them in accurately and timely, such as client billing, monthly service schedules, program data collection, client tracking, and other reports as needed.
Complete 30 days, quarterly, semi-annual, and annual paperwork and submit to outside agencies as needed. Facilitates meetings with the ID Team.
Maintain and update individual client file(s) (both on paper or electronically) and reports any individual concerns to the Program Manager.
Verify that individuals are authorized for the correct services, before delivering services, and request any service changes to help support employment outcomes, as needed.
Provide training for individuals in their residence, community, and/or place of employment to support successful outcomes of community engagement and/or competitive integrated employment.
Provide training, instruction, and support in a variety of ways, including remotely (by phone or video) and in-person, at their residence, a community setting, or their place of employment.
Support individuals in getting around the community, in their vehicle, by bus, paratransit, to promote higher independence.
Take direction from supervisors and give/receive feedback positively and professionally.
Demonstrate good customer services skills, such as greeting all clients and their support team by name, understanding Arc’s supports, being responsive to questions and concerns and getting back to individuals within 2 working days, etc.
Attend all staff meetings and in-service training as assigned, request a training in areas that they feel uncomfortable or unsure of.
Maintain appearance of agency vehicles in order to promote services to the community resulting in additional revenue streams.
Follow all policies and procedures as outlined in the Arc Employee Handbook, including timely and accurately filling time cards, mileage logs, and following all Health and Safety mandates and any other employee-related paperwork.
Perform all other duties as assigned.

REQUIREMENTS:
The requirements listed below are representative of the knowledge, skill, and/or ability required
EDUCATION and/or EXPERIENCE: Associate's degree (A. A.) or equivalent from two-year College or technical school; or a minimum of two years related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience. Must be proficient in Microsoft Suite (Word, Outlook, Excel).
LANGUAGE SKILLS: Ability to read and interpret documents such as safety rules, operating and maintenance instructions, and procedure manuals. Ability to write routine reports and correspondence. Ability to speak effectively before groups of customers or employees of the organization.
MATHEMATICAL SKILLS:
Ability to add, subtract, multiply, and divide
REASONING ABILITY:
Ability to apply common sense understanding to carry out instructions furnished in written, oral, or diagram form. Ability to deal with problems involving several variables.
CERTIFICATES, LICENSES, REGISTRATIONS:
Must have reliable transportation. Must possess valid California Driver's License, auto insurance, car registration, and current Standard First Aid and CPR certification.
