River Experience Director

Principle Responsibilities

● Support 5-day whitewater treks with a vehicle and trailer.

● Drive gear, staff, and participants to and from river.

● Load and unload gear, staff, and participants to and from river.

● Assist in cleaning, packing, and inventory of gear needed for trek.

● Maintain trek equipment in an organized and good working condition.

● Ensure safety and quality standards remain at the highest levels

● Other duties or projects as assigned by SBR leadership

● Abide by policies and procedure outlined in the SBR staff handbook

Qualifications & Training

● Must be at least 21 years of age by the start of employment.

● Be or become certified in Red Cross Standard First Aid and CPR

● Must be able to secure a Summit Driving permit. Required driving record submittance

● Required: Experience driving and backing loaded flatbed trailers.

● Experience driving and backing loaded flatbed trailers.

● Preferred: Commercial Driver License

● Ability to use Microsoft Teams daily for work related communication and coordination

● Be or become a registered member of the Boy Scouts of America

Performance Results

● Assist all participants to complete the New River Experience

● Regularly show appreciation to coworkers via written and verbal methods

● Participate in team activities

Physical Requirements

● Up to 8 hours a day of either standing, walking, driving, and the ability to lift 70 lbs.
