Title: Physical Therapy Patient Registration - Moline

Employment Type: Full Time

Work Hours: Monday through Thursday 9 am - 6 pm, Fridays 8 am - 5 pm

City: Metro Quad Cities

Position Responsibilities:

  • Promptly and politely greeting patients and making them feel welcome as they enter the clinic
  • Answering all incoming calls related to Physical Therapy in a friendly and efficient manner
  • Communicating with patients to schedule, cancel or reschedule physical therapy appointments
  • Verifying patient demographic information and updating information as needed; scanning insurance and identification cards; verifying insurance eligibility and updating patient accounts accordingly
  • Directing or assisting patients in completing appropriate paperwork and answering patient questions
  • Managing point of service collections (co-pays, co-insurances, deductibles, self-pay); performs daily cash box reconciliation
  • Accurately preparing patient charts for upcoming appointments
  • Assisting coworkers in completion of duties when time allows; training new employees as needed
  • Straightening and maintaining a clean patient reception area
  • Maintaining patient confidentiality and complying with all HIPAA rules and regulations

Requirements:

  • High school diploma or equivalent is required
  • One year of customer service experience or prior medical office experience preferred
  • Knowledge of customer service principles and techniques
  • Excellent interpersonal, oral, and written communications skills
  • Ability to effectively communicate and interact with patients, families, and staff
  • Ability to organize and prioritize tasks effectively and accurately
