Quality Control Technician

BULL MOOSE TUBE COMPANY, a progressive organization in the manufacture of steel tubular products, is looking for an energetic, customer-focused Quality Control Technician who wants to become a key contributor in an industrial manufacturing environment. Bull Moose Tube is currently one of the largest and most profitable manufacturers of mechanical tubes, fire suppression sprinkler pipe, and hollow section structural steel tube. We currently generate approximately $0.6 Billion in revenue and operate from eight strategically located North American manufacturing sites with headquarters near St. Louis, Missouri. This Quality Control Technician opening will be located in our Sinton, Texas plant.

ESSENTIAL JOB RESPONSIBILITIES:

1. Oversee all quality issues with tube.
2. Test tube per customer specifications.
3. Perform physical testing as required.
4. Investigate and assist in the resolution of MTR or product quality issues.
5. Generate report for outside testing and prepare samples for shipment.
6. Review results from outside lab and process accordingly.
7. Print and review mill schedules to identify key quality requirements.
8. Perform product inspection on mill and in warehouse as required.
9. Review system held warehouses and address product issues where necessary.
10. Initiate CAR's to address non-conforming material/policy, procedure violations.
11. Review held material inventories.
12. Maintain calibration system.
13. Audit production to verify adherence to applicable specifications and customer requirements.
14. Audit facility to verify compliance to QMS system.
15. Preparing reports and maintaining appropriate filing system.
16. Provide support to Managers and Supervisors.
17. Assisting in daily office needs.
18. Backup for of vacations and absenteeism.
19. Other duties required to meet company needs.

REQUIREMENTS:

1. Able to understand and effectively use computerized business systems and other technology and business platforms.

4. Ability to effectively participate in and facilitate group meetings.

6. Able to maintain regular and reliable attendance and to comply with all Company policies and procedures.

QUALIFICATIONS:

1. High School Diploma or equivalent.
2. Prior manufacturing experience.
3. Machine operating skills; ability to learn and comprehend machine operation.
4. QMS experience preferred.
