Summary
The QA Technician is responsible for production support and ensuring that we are sending out a quality product. S/he performs a variety of quality control tests/inspections and/or standard microbiological, chemical, physical, or sensory testing and assays on products, materials, components, etc. at various stages of the production process to ensure compliance with quality standards. The position will have a direct interface with production and maintenance personnel to ensure product output while maintaining high quality standards through in-house testing of raw material and finished goods.

Follow company work and safety policies and instructions
Comprehend and perform routine QA line checks
Production checks including but not limited to codes, labels, fill weights, etc.
Performing sensory on finished goods
Responsible for quality of labels, lids, boxes, code dates, and general condition ofproduct
Preventing food safety and quality problems by stopping production when necessary,quarantining product believed to be in non-compliance with Neighbors standards, andescalating issues to personnel with authority to initiate action
Maintain HACCP and SQF quality records
Follows and champions all Food Safety and GMP procedures
Other duties as assigned
Qualifications
HS Diploma or GED required
Associate degree in food science, Microbiology, Chemistry, Biology or other related field,preferred
Experience
2+ years experience working as a lab technician is desired
Experience in food manufacturing is a plus
