Serves as Transportation Supervisor that assist the Transportation Motor Pool (TMP) manager in the operation of the TMP GSA Fleet by providing services to include general administration, dispatch and control of GSA leased fleet and Army Owned Non-Tactical Vehicles in accordance with DoD 4500.36-R, AR 58-1, AR 710-2, AR 385-10, AR 600-55 and TMP SOPs. Additionally, the Transportation Supervisor will:

  • Coordinate vehicle scheduled and non-scheduled maintenance.
  • Work with local vendors to ensure timely and accurate repairs on equipment is completed.
  • Coordinate vehicle delivery to and pick up form repair facilities.
  • Conduct Joint Technical Inspections with Body Repair Shops prior to vehicle turn-in and after completion of repairs.
  • Supervises the Transportation Specialist in their daily work schedules.
  • Supervises the Maintenance Inspectors in their daily work schedules.
  • Serves as the Deputy TMP manager and assumes the TMP duties in their absence.
  • Assist in the control of all US Government Fleet Credit Cards in support of all Government vehicles.
  • Obtain issue, account for, control, instruct operators, and monitor usage of credit cards.
  • In the event of a lost, damaged, or stolen credit card, provide the customer with a government furnished document, verify its accuracy, and submit it to the Government.
  • Ensure any accidents are reported to the Military Police (MP). Prepare and submit to the KO accident and damage reports involving TMP assigned equipment in accordance with AR 385-10, local Supplement(s), and GSA reporting requirements.
  • Be responsible for all US Government license plates for all vehicles under their management. In the event of a lost, damaged, or stolen license plate, provide the customer with a government furnished document, verify its accuracy, and submit it to the Government.
  • Coordinate amongst customers, appropriate vendors, and GSA to ensure prioritizing and performance of scheduled/unscheduled maintenance.
  • Assist the Transportation Motor Officer and LRC with reports including estimates and actual billings for transportation services provided to player units.
  • Oversee the completion and filing of all maintenance and mileage forms. Monitor funding requirements and apprise the TMP Manager of any discrepancies.
  • Maintain the key control register.
