Laborer - Structures

Job Brief:

The Laborer - Structures is responsible for assisting onsite and in the shop as needed.

Duties & Responsibilities:

• Transports materials to and around job sites, assists in preparing sites.
• Handles, loads, and unloads materials.
• Installs and removes all things related to building structures, i.e., panels, insulation, concrete, and other materials using hand and power tools.
• Fabricates, assembles, and installs insulated panels, cutting aluminum and steel channel as needed.
• Assists tradespeople in preparing and cleaning site.
• Runs equipment (skid steer, manlift, forklift, cement mixer, compactor, and other equipment/machinery) as required.
• Performs manual tasks, loads equipment, and replenishes stock and materials.
• Participation/compliance with company safety programs & company policies.
• Other duties as required.

Required Skills/Qualifications:

• Construction knowledge/experience is an asset.
• Valid driver’s license, CDL Class A or B preferred.
• Ability to meet the physical demands of the job, i.e., standing for long periods, working at heights, extreme weather conditions.
• Ability to lift heavy loads of up to 50 lbs to heights of 15 ft – 80 ft.
• Strong hand-eye coordination.
• Familiarity with power tools and machinery.
• Commitment to safety.
• Communication and teamwork.
• Flexible to work out of town as needed.
• First Aid/CPR w/ AED, OSHA 30, and Safeland, with preference for OSHA500
