Wilkes University invites applicants for a Cybersecurity Specialist in the Information System Technology Department.

The successful candidate is responsible for providing security oversight for networks and data centers. They will search for vulnerabilities and risks in hardware and software and manage and monitor any attacks and intrusions. The Cyber Security Specialist monitors systems for any unusual activities. They conduct counteractive protocols and report incidents and monitors emerging threats through the IDS/IPS systems. The Cyber Security Specialist tracks vulnerabilities and collaborates with internal network teams to ensure closure of vulnerabilities. The successful candidate will also have experience with switches/routers (Cisco/Aruba), Fortinet Firewalls, Authentication and Authorization using Cisco ISE, configuring/troubleshooting Cisco wireless controllers and Aps. Familiarity with Cisco CUCM/Unity VOIP software and Active Directory knowledge is a plus.

A Bachelor's degree in computer science, systems/industrial engineering, Business Administration or related field or equivalent academic and work experience. The ideal candidate will have 3-5 years of experience working with network systems and cybersecurity protocols. An equivalent combination of education and experience may be considered. Experience in higher education preferred. Salary is commensurate with qualifications and experience.
