PURPOSE OF POSITION:

The Operations Agronomist is responsible for agronomy operations of products and services for The Arthur Companies.

RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Keep up to date on all agronomy services and technology and build relationships with local growers
  • Make seed, fertilizer and chemical recommendations
  • Use integrated pest management techniques to determine treatment thresholds
  • Work with the Agronomy leaders to identify practices that can be implemented to improve processes and outcomes
  • Promote the features and benefits of all agronomy products and services, assist with over-the-counter sales, and assist with product delivery to customers
  • Perform logistics and agronomy plant operations
  • Utilize invoicing and inventory management systems
  • Assist in inventory management procedures
  • Maintain equipment and facility
  • Monitor and maintain quality of inventory
  • Maintain and promote a strong safety culture and follow all safety policies, procedures, and regulations.
  • Perform agronomy operations, logistics and including assisting in the warehouse
  • Work in and keep an environment that is compliant with state, local and ACI Environmental and Safety policy
  • Custom Application if qualified and/or if the need arises
  • Assist other departments as needed;

QUALIFICATIONS:

The ideal candidate will possess the following:

  • Associates or bachelor's degree in a related field
  • Valid driver's license and ability to obtain a CDL Class A license
  • Proven ability to delivery exceptional customer service
  • Excellent interpersonal skills and a team player
