PURPOSE OF POSITION:
The Operations Agronomist is responsible for agronomy operations of products and services for The Arthur Companies.
RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Keep up to date on all agronomy services and technology and build relationships with local growers
- Make seed, fertilizer and chemical recommendations
- Use integrated pest management techniques to determine treatment thresholds
- Work with the Agronomy leaders to identify practices that can be implemented to improve processes and outcomes
- Promote the features and benefits of all agronomy products and services, assist with over-the-counter sales, and assist with product delivery to customers
- Perform logistics and agronomy plant operations
- Utilize invoicing and inventory management systems
- Assist in inventory management procedures
- Maintain equipment and facility
- Monitor and maintain quality of inventory
- Maintain and promote a strong safety culture and follow all safety policies, procedures, and regulations.
- Perform agronomy operations, logistics and including assisting in the warehouse
- Work in and keep an environment that is compliant with state, local and ACI Environmental and Safety policy
- Custom Application if qualified and/or if the need arises
- Assist other departments as needed;
QUALIFICATIONS:
The ideal candidate will possess the following:
- Associates or bachelor's degree in a related field
- Valid driver's license and ability to obtain a CDL Class A license
- Proven ability to delivery exceptional customer service
- Excellent interpersonal skills and a team player
