General Job Description - Paint Sales Associate

Pullman Location -- Weekends required -- Full Time

Reports to: Retail Sales Manager

Job Summary:

Pullman Building Supply is in need of dedicated, hard-working individuals. The Paint Associate is responsible for the overall appearance and performances of the department. Responsibilities include but are not limited to working independently and as a team, responding to customer paint inquiries.

Essential Job Functions:

• Provide outstanding customer service by assisting customers with paint inquiries, recommending products, and offering advice on paint selection and application
• Utilize the BisTrack POS program on a daily basis to process transactions, manage inventory
• Demonstrate a strong understanding of various types of paints, including primers, sealers, stains, and specialty finishes
• Offer accurate and efficient color matching services to meet customers' specific needs and preferences
• Mix and prepare paint orders accurately and efficiently, ensuring quality and consistency
• Maintain a clean, organized, and visually appealing paint department. This includes tidying up paint aisles, restocking shelves, and labeling products as needed
• Support the receiving department by assisting with freight handling

Requirements:

• Ability to lift and carry up to 60 lbs
• Previous retail or sales experience is a plus
• Detail-oriented with a focus on accuracy and efficiency
• Weekends required
