College Tutors of Indiana is seeking experienced, reliable, and energetic Algebra tutors for high school students, tutoring in the school, daily from 9am - 4pm during school days.   This is an opportunity to make a meaningful and positive impact in the lives of students, in a very consistent and simple model.  Tutors must have some experience teaching and/or tutoring, have a college degree, or be enrolled in college, and be reliable for tutoring throughout the semester.

Job Description: Embodies the College Tutors Core Values and:

  • Provides students with academic assistance and guidance as directed by the school and College Tutors of Indiana, serving as a role model to students.
  • Implements the tutoring strategy within timelines established by the school and College Tutors of Indiana.
  • Communicates on a regular basis with College Tutors management as needed regarding student progress.
  • Assists in the development of a positive attitude toward learning, studying and academics.
  • Submits online/mobile timesheets and session notes (this is an extremely simple and short task) within 24 hours of completion of each session.
  • Must pass a background check.
  • Should have a natural passion for Algebra, and helping others succeed in Algebra (those "aha" moments students have (or you have had) should resonate with you!).
  • Reliability and consistency is absolutely essential to the success of this model and for the success of the students.   Being prompt and reliable is a must.  We have a blast in this business but we do not like to babysit.
