Title: Sr. Engineer (Pharmaceutical Environment) 33174

Location: Juncos, PR (100% onsite work on 1st or 2nd shift)

SUMMARY

Independently directs process optimization strategies and troubleshoots operational issues in operations, manufacturing, pilot plant, or capital projects. Applies advanced engineering principles to major system modifications, experiments, and capital projects. Develops, organizes, and presents interpretation of results for complex operational issues or engineering projects.


Educational/Software Requirements:

  • Doctorate degree OR
  • Master's degree AND 3 years of Engineering experience OR
  • Bachelor's degree in Engineering AND 5 years of Engineering experience


Preferred Qualifications:

  • Experience with Change Controls on Trackwise
  • Knowledge of Packaging equipment
  • Proficiency in Design of New Equipment Process
  • Familiarity with Engineering Project Management
  • Experience in Medical Device or Pharma
  • Understanding of CAPA and Compliance
  • Working knowledge of pharmaceutical/biotech processes, validation, and regulatory documentation
  • Ability to operate specialized laboratory equipment and interpret GLPs and GMPs


FUNCTIONS General:

  1. Complete complex assignments, developing new engineering techniques.
  2. Develop engineering policies affecting multiple units.
  3. Supervise and review work of engineers, associates, and technicians.
  4. Apply advanced engineering techniques within area of expertise.
  5. Serve as a peer-recognized engineering specialist.
  6. Apply mature engineering knowledge in project planning.


Design Engineering:

  1. Develop technical solutions to complex problems.
  2. Collaborate with various departments in developing system modifications.
  3. Complete design and engineering projects within schedule and budget constraints.
  4. Coordinate work of consultants and engineering firms.
  5. Develop project budgets encompassing multiple disciplines.
