Summer Staff Counselors/Interns

The Center for Courageous Kids (CCK) is a medically-based camping facility dedicated to enriching the lives of medically fragile children. CCK is looking for energetic, positive, team-oriented, reliable and flexible individuals to apply for our 2024 Summer Staff. We hire primarily for two types of positions:

• Den Counselors/Interns are trained to take care of the daily needs of up to 8 campers while navigating a weekly schedule. Working with fellow staff and volunteers, den counselors/interns are actively involved in the supervision, guidance and motivation of campers to ensure that a high standard of care is maintained.
  
  
• Program Counselors/Interns are trained on-site to plan/develop activities and facilitate a specific program area during the day (areas include: Arts & Crafts, Fun & Games, Archery, Lifeguarding, Photography, Equestrian, etc.) and then they join a group of den counselors/interns to share additional responsibilities in the evening.

Besides the basic job positions, some other facts to know are:

• We are a not-for profit camp that provides an inclusive and medically safe experience for our campers at no cost to their families.
• All buildings are state of the art and designed to meet the needs of a variety of different diagnoses and conditions. These staff positions will live together in rooms adjacent to their assigned campers.
• The salary range for these positions will be $60 - $70 per day, as well as room and board.
• Free laundry equipment provided.
