Job Description
The Icahn School of Medicine at Mount Sinai affiliated with New York City H + H/Queens has an exciting opportunity for a Nurse Anesthetist.
The Nurse Anesthetist under the supervision of Attending Anesthesiologists, will administer, monitor and manage patient’s care before and after anesthesia. Rely on experience and judgment to plan and accomplish goals. Perform a variety of tasks. There is no trauma, no heart and no neurological surgery. Our cases are very simple and easy. A certain degree of creativity and latitude is required. Nurse Anesthetists will rotate responsibility for daily scheduling of case coverage. The hospital is easily accessible by public transportation and car from all areas of New York City, New Jersey and Long Island.
Candidate must be a graduate of an accredited school of nurse anesthesia and be a Certified Registered Nurse Anesthetist (CRNA) with proof of current certification and with experience in anesthesiology and/or minimum of 1-2 years work experience in an acute care nurse setting. Must have current valid New York State nursing license and be certified by the Council of Certification of Nurse Anesthetists.
