Packer

Richard Wolf Medical Instruments Corporation is currently seeking a Packer in Vernon Hills, IL. The Packer is responsible for performing general shipping duties including: packing, labeling, and processing customer orders, among other related duties.

REQUIREMENTS AND RESPONSIBILITIES:

• Prepares orders for shipment by entering into system, packing instrumentation, and labeling shipping container according to specified procedures.
• Ensures accuracy and completeness of orders according to specified procedure.
• Organizes and maintains inventory, keeps packing area clean and orderly in order to facilitate efficient workflow.
• Operates packaging machinery safely and efficiently, following all safety protocols and guidelines.
• Performs miscellaneous company errands as needed (i.e. post office, bank, suppliers, airport, etc.)

ADDITIONAL RESPONSIBILITIES:

• Adheres to established packing and shipping regulations to ensure compliance with legal requirements.
• Aware of and comply with the RWMIC Quality Manual and regulations & requirements as they apply to this job type/position.
• Completes all planned Quality & Compliance training within the defined deadlines.
• Other duties as assigned by the Shipping & Receiving Manager.

QUALIFICATIONS:

(ONLY QUALIFIED CANDIDATES WILL BE CONSIDERED)

• High school diploma or equivalent
• Previous shipping/receiving experience helpful
• Attention to detail and accuracy
• Basic computer skills
• Experience with and understanding of cross-cultural differences and the ability to work within this environment is crucial for successful employment.
• The following physical demands are required:
  • Lift/Carry 25+ pounds
  • Stand/Sit/Walk 8 hours per day
  • Push/pull 50+ pounds
