Job Description

Title: Field Service Technician II

Joining as a Field Service Technician II, you'll leverage your expertise to conduct maintenance and technical support across a range of products, including equipment, integrated systems, subsystems, and software, at customer sites and field locations. Your duties will encompass installation, operation, maintenance, repair, and modification of our products, along with updating and monitoring field-related equipment status. Cultivating strong customer relationships, you'll deliver onsite training and support.

Physical/Mental/Emotional Requirements:

  • Frequent walking, sitting, standing, and climbing stairs
  • Repeating hand, arm, and finger motions frequently
  • Vision and hearing abilities necessary, including close and distance vision, depth perception, and discerning different tones and volumes
  • Occasional lifting or carrying up to 50 lbs.

Working Conditions:

  • Frequent exposure to outdoor elements (e.g., high/low temperatures, sun, rain/snow)
  • Occasional exposure to fumes or hazardous chemicals/materials
  • Frequent exposure to loud noises

Safety Sensitive Position:

  • Responsible for ensuring safety and security of people or property
  • Conducting inspections on structures, equipment, or vehicles
  • Performing aviation-related duties
  • Operating or supervising vehicles, heavy or dangerous equipment, or machinery

Must-haves:

  • Basic understanding of technical schematics, diagrams, blueprints, manuals, or publications
  • Proficiency in troubleshooting techniques
  • Knowledge of electrical wiring concepts
  • Willingness to travel frequently outside the continental US for extended periods

Preferred:

  • Experience with FCC or FCC GROL
  • Prior certifications such as Security+, Network+, CCNA, and/or A+
  • Familiarity with Spectrometer, Oscilloscope, and/or Pilot Static Equipment gauges
  • Background in Aerospace and Defense Industry, US Department of Defense, or US Military

Education and Experience:

  • Must have an Associate's degree and typically 2 or more years of relevant experience
  • Higher-level degrees may substitute for experience
  • Related experience may be considered in lieu of required education
