They were organized in 1990 to build trailer hitches for motorcycles and have continued to innovate year after year. What a Finisher will do:

• Examine the surface of the workpiece for defects
• Select the grade of abrasive belt, wheel, or disk according to specifications, knowledge of abrasives, and condition of metal, and attach it to the grinder
• Start the grinder and move it over the surface of the piece to remove scratches, laminated metal, excess weld material, and burs
• Study blueprints, sketches, drawings, manuals, specifications, or sample parts to determine the dimensions and tolerances of the finished workpiece
• Establish requirements to determine the optimal sequence of operations
• Polish ground areas with finer abrasive to produce a smooth, unmarred surface
• Replace worn abrasive disks, wheels, and belts

What you need to be a Finisher:

• Ability to present numerical data effectively
• Ability to read and interpret written information
• Ability to use equipment and materials properly
• Ability to adapt to change in the work environment
