Senior Planner Buyer

Azbil North America, Inc. is seeking a highly motivated Senior Planner Buyer. The Senior Planner Buyer will implement the right processes and practices across the manufacturing and fulfillment organizations. They will administer and maintain improving performance, procuring materials and resources, and securing compliance. They will have a strong focus on internal and external customer focus and the ability to align with the company policies.

As a Senior Planner Buyer you will be responsible for:

  • Efficient purchasing of inventory and materials from approved vendors.
  • Setting effective safety stock levels and managing inventory effectiveness in accordance with planning and demand.
  • Receiving purchase requisitions and verifing for accuracy and authorizations.
  • Managing inside sales order entry of customer’s POs from a variety of sources.
  • Managing logistics unit concerning shipping and receiving in accordance with corporate objectives.
  • Conducting, promoting, and supervising kaizen activity within departments in accordance with cost improvement plans.
  • Performing production scheduling functions in accordance with customer demand to include capacity planning and material requirements planning.
  • Managing quarterly inventory validation activity per corporate requirements.
  • Evaluating performance of fulfillment and manufacturing activities and developing corrective actions and kaizen activities.
  • Managing and promoting cross-functional team approach in the execution of the plans and activities within the departments.
  • Promoting and directing the focus on the customer within the execution of the department activities.
  • Performing other purchasing or inventory control duties as necessary or as requested.
  • Controlling inbound and outbound freight costs.
  • Continuing to evaluate operational efficiencies, unit, and labor costs at the same time keeping quality high.
  • Directing facility wide goals and communicate these to the team with targets and objectives.
  • Developing expectation of execution, evaluation, and results.
  • Improving the business processes for each department through analysis and collaboration.
  • Getting involved in long-term business planning at the managerial level.
  • Collaborating with department management to develop financial plans and goals.
  • Analyzing the performance of fulfillment, manufacturing, and warehouse in order to make recommendations for improvements.
  • Using strategic planning organization tools to set priorities, focus energy and resources and strengthen operations for the ever-changing manufacturing markets.
  • Ensuring that employees and other stakeholders are working toward common goals in order to facilitate and sustain an organization’s growth.
  • Developing, implementing, and reviewing operational policies and procedures.
  • Helping promote a company culture that encourages top performance and high morale.
  • Supporting worker communication with the management team.
