Job Description

As a Quality Control Associate you will be responsible for managing the day-to-day workload for our Aerospace customer base. Your role will be pivotal to ensuring all customer and industry quality requirements are met and maintained throughout the inspection process of products within the Aerospace Industry.

Responsibilities:
  • Maintain the quality control requirements based on customer's documents, as well applicable to industry standards, to assure the quality of products.
  • Obtain Designated Quality Representative (DQR) certification within 12-months of employment. Training will be provided.
  • Inspection/verify/record results of products or material to ensure it meets the purchase order or customer specific drawing using calibrated devices such as micrometers and calipers.
  • Verify all customer and product documentation meets both customer and Aerospace industry standards.
  • Maintain all testing/calibration of equipment.
  • Work with quality manager and account manager where quality issues are found impacting the ability to ship the product,
  • Perform First Article Inspection Reports (FAIR) for first time shipments or per customer requirements.
  • Ability to work within one or multiple customer portals depending on the days volume.
  • Maintain databases per customer requirements (MS Excel).
  • Other duties and tasks, as assigned

Qualifications:
  • High School Degree or Equivalent required
  • 2+ years of industry experience preferred
  • 2+ years of quality assurance / control experience preferred
  • Working knowledge of a computer-based ERP systems preferred
  • Working knowledge of quality management systems preferred
  • Knowledge of 6 Sigma and or Lean Manufacturing Principals preferred
  • Ability to read and interpret drawings, datasheets and technical documentation
  • Ability read test reports and make appropriate and accurate recommendations
  • Excellent knowledge of MS Office (e.g. Excel, Word, Outlook)
  • Excellent English written and oral communication skills
  • Excellent multi-tasking skills, ability to prioritize and handle many projects at once with ever shifting priorities and deadlines with ability to track and manage progress.
  • A flexible, dynamic, self-demanding and proactive individual; able to motivate him/herself and others; easily accepts constructive input from others and can lead cross functional teams to drive for best results in environment with competing objectives.
  • Ability to travel 10%
