Wound Care & Family Medicine APP (NP or PA) in Redwood Falls, MN

CentraCare is hiring an Advanced Practice Provider in Redwood Falls, Minnesota.  This is a shared practice between Wound Care and Family Medicine.  Candidates must be licensed to treat all ages from babies through geriatrics.  The position is open to new graduates. 

Responsibilities

As a Wound Care Advanced Practice Provider, you will see patients both in the outpatient clinic, as well as inpatient hospital setting.  Youll provide care to patients with diabetic ulcers, skin tears, non-healing surgical wounds, wound grafts and any other wound type care; in addition to Ostomy & Continence care.

As a Primary Care Advanced Practice Provider, you will independently see and treat your own panel of patients with acute to chronic care needs.  Our Family Medicine providers diagnose and treat acute short-term illness, provide preventative care including routine check-ups, offer personalized counseling on maintaining a healthy lifestyle, as well as manage and coordinate care for those with chronic conditions.

Schedule

• 1.0 FTE (.6 FTE dedicated to Wound Care; .4 FTE dedicated to Family Medicine)
• Primarily Monday through Friday day shifts
• Rotation into Saturday morning clinic, approximately every 8th weekend
• No call, evenings, nights, or holidays

Requirements

 To be eligible for this position you must meet the following requirements:

• Completion of a formal nurse practitioner or physician assistant program approved by a national accrediting agency
• Certified as a Nurse Practitioner or a Physician Assistant, with the ability to see a full spectrum of patients with no age limitations
• Current or pending licensure in the State of Minnesota
• BLS Certification
• WOC Certification - can be obtained after hire

Experience

Position open to new graduates.  Relevant work experience in one of the following areas helpful:

• Family Medicine
• Internal Medicine
• Walk-In/Same Day Clinic
• Wound Care
