Seeking individuals with ERISA experience!

Our reputable client is seeking an experienced Health Plan and ERISA (Employee Retirement Income Security Act of 1974) Compliance Officer to join our team of professionals. This position plays a crucial role in safeguarding our company's reputation by ensuring practices comply with health plan and ERISA regulations. Responsibilities:


1. Develop, implement, and maintain company-wide health plan and ERISA policies and procedures to ensure compliance with federal and state regulations.

2. Conduct internal compliance audits and risk assessments related to health plan and ERISA obligations.

3. Work closely with departments to coordinate compliance activities and provide guidance on compliance issues.

4. Conduct regular training and education programs on health plan and ERISA compliance for employees.

5. Manage regulatory filings, disclosures, and notices related to health plan and ERISA.

6. Monitor regulatory changes related to health plan and ERISA and adjust our compliance programs as necessary.

7. Handle any investigations or audits related to health plan and ERISA compliance.

8. Work collaboratively with the legal team to address any legal issues related to health plan and ERISA compliance.

9. Prepare compliance reports for senior management and board.

1. Bachelor's Degree in Law, Business Administration, or related field.

2. 3+ years of experience in a health plan or ERISA compliance role, preferably in an insurance/financial services company.

3. Thorough knowledge of ERISA and other related federal and state laws and regulations.

4. Excellent problem-solving, analytical, and organizational skills.

5. Strong communication and presentation skills.

6. Ability to work independently, prioritize effectively, and handle multiple projects.

7. Relevant Compliance Certification such as Certified in Healthcare Compliance (CHC) or Certified Employee Benefits Specialist (CEBS) is preferred.
