Job Description
Summary: Seeking a Mechanical Engineer with hands-on experience in diesel engine testing and aftertreatment systems for a role focusing on development, execution, and continuous improvement of engine dyno tests.
Job Requirements:
4-year Engineering degree
1-2+ years of relevant experience preferred (consideration for recent graduates with strong engines experience from internships)
Experience with working on engines
Knowledge of manufacturing processes
Ability to read engineering part prints
Proficiency in 3-D CAD software (Pro-E or Creo preferred)
Preferred Skills:
Strong attention to detail
Experience specifically with engine dynamometer testing is a significant advantage
Job Responsibilities:
Develop and execute engine dynamometer test plans, including post-test Product Verification & Validation (PV&V) activities that encompass the entire aftertreatment system
Conduct small-scale component-level PV&V activities related to canning, Diesel Exhaust Fluid (DEF) header, DEF tank, and hydrocarbon dosing systems; includes continuous improvement tasks
Oversee vehicle PV&V activities associated with the complete aftertreatment system
Pay Details: $28.00 to $38.00 per hour
