Volt is immediately hiring for a Bilingual Spanish Safety Rail Coordinator in Baytown, TX.
As a Bilingual Spanish Safety Rail Coordinator you will:
Monitoring the situation, environment, and gauges to gather information and take appropriate action (requires ability to recognize sounds and changes in sounds and requires color vision. the ability to detect and interpret visual stimuli, day and night, at near and far distances, including hand signals, printed material text, and the speed and distance of moving objects).
Skilled worker with a thorough knowledge of procedures and processes associated with supply, storage, and distribution functions in a fast paced environment. The candidate will be responsible for dispatching of railcars and the transfer machinery. They are also responsible for their team and correct execution of the transfer orders.
This is a full-time, Direct Hire opportunity.
The Ideal candidate will:
  • Bilingual – English/Spanish
  • Maintain a clean and organized work area and equipment.
  • Experienced in rail operations (switching cars)
  • Experienced in Locomotive and or Track Mobile operations.
  • Experienced in managing a medium size group of people in a similar production environment.
  • Ensuring all OSHA safety standards are followed and executed.
  • Ensuring that all employees assigned to you are on time and they start the shift on time.
  • Assist, train, and advise fellow workers when required.
  • Monitor the KPIs of the department.
  • Manage all or part of the rail team.
  • Must possess the skills to provide quality customer service including the ability to deal with a variety of people in a professional, courteous manner in diversified situations.
  • Ability to perform assigned work tasks with little or no supervision.
  • Able to work on your feet for long periods of time.
  • Ability to perform assigned work tasks with little or no supervision.
  • General knowledge of communication and rail yard terminology.
  • Applying and releasing hand brakes.
  • Able to judge distances associated with railcar movements.
  • Riding rail cars and climbing onto equipment.
  • Can handle and deal with instructions from management or other supervisors in a professional manner.


Salary: $55,000 - $60,000 a year - (Mon - Fri)

*Pay range offered to a successful candidate will be based on several factors, including the candidate's education, work experience, work location, specific job duties, certifications, etc.
