Sonos is looking for a Packaging Project Coordinator to join our team in the Santa Barbara office. This role is office based and requires you to be in the office a minimum of 3 days a week. You will collaborate with a team of diverse talent and you will proactively contribute to a culture of respect and inclusion. As an integral part of the Sonos Design team you will help us execute our philosophy of calm technology and build a portfolio of products that improve people's lives through amazing sound experiences. Our Design team is cross-disciplinary: Packaging Experience, Product Sustainability, Design Intent, Design Development and Proto Squad. Our packaging programs combine Structure, Graphics, Marketing and Manufacturing - you'll speak fluently with these diverse teams to solve complex challenges with a core focus on experience.

As the Project Coordinator you will be a critical part of our Packaging team delivering programs. You'll successfully identify and communicate project milestones, and share team progress, ensuring projects are executed on time and within budget. You'll track schedules, program aims and manufacturing considerations, with the end goal of supporting the delivery of impactful packaging solutions for products. The Project Coordinator, Packaging Experience covers cross-functional packaging projects and packaging related activities. You may contribute to innovation projects that advance Sonos packaging for the present & future.

What You'll Do

  • Partner with packaging design and engineering teams in the development of project scopes, deliverable dependencies, timelines, and priorities

  • Coordinate internal and external resources to ensure that projects adhere to scope, schedule, and budget

  • Develop, manage and communicate packaging deliverables, timelines and status to cross-functional teams; continuously tracking and aligning with program launch goals

  • Ability to plan and manage packaging development of Global initiatives including liaising for translations and content collection from cross functional teams

  • Track and coordinate Sustaining packaging changes with Sustaining teams

  • Support communication and weekly meetings with global teams and supplier

What You'll Need

Basic Skills

  • Capable of learning to manage multiple complex projects concurrently

  • Exposure to and interest in learning web-based proofing processes and management software to handle timelines, consolidation, and resolution of artwork changes

  • Organizational skills: You're detail-driven, capable of navigating packaging interaction and development processes for volume production

  • Effective communicator: Proven success working with all levels of management and cross functional teams (Marketing, Legal, external partners and Program Managers)

  • 0-2 years of project coordinator experience, ideally in a design agency/creative environment or with a specialization in Packaging development and production

  • Collaborative: Develop and maintain partnerships with third-party resources including freelancers, contractors and packaging suppliers

Preferred Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree (Packaging, Business, Marketing, Advertising, Communications or related studies)

  • Passion for print and packaging design for premium brands.

  • Excellent written, verbal and oral communication skills

  • Ability to multitask, work quickly, accurately, but take time for reflection and innovation

  • Experienced in using web based Program Management tools such as G-suite, Smartsheets, Team Gantt, Confluence or equivalent

  • Ingenuity: You are able to creatively problem-solve to achieve our targets. You're at ease working in a fast-paced, ambiguous, deadline-driven work environment

At Sonos we consider a wide range of factors when determining compensation, which may lead individual compensation to vary depending on job related qualifications, skills, and experience. All full time employees are eligible for merit increases, discretionary bonuses, and equity. Our job postings may span more than one career level and the base pay range may be modified in the future based on changing market conditions. The starting base pay for this role for all US candidates is between:

$70,000 and $77,600

Please note that compensation details listed in US job postings reflect the base salary only, and do not include bonus, equity, or benefits.
