Job Title: Electrical Engineer - Radio Equipment Specialist Location: Lynchburg, VA 24501 Onsite Requirements: Radio equipment troubleshooting Electrical engineering RF Job Description: Seeking an experienced electrical engineer with Radio troubleshooting expertise to join a cross-functional team responsible for designing and manufacturing communications products for public safety and government customers. The ideal candidate is skilled in troubleshooting field issues with radios and accessories and can provide technical direction to a team of radio technicians. Radio equipment (microphone, batteries, charger, speakers, etc..) background Reverse engineering, component level, failure analysis, and repair resolution experience. The electrical engineer who fills this position will join a product development team developing cutting edge products that incorporate a wide range of wireless communications technologies in small form factor, mission critical communications devices. Qualifications: Bachelor's degree in electrical engineering or equivalent discipline with a minimum 6 years of relevant experience (or a graduate degree with 4 years of experience). Preferred Skills: Experience with troubleshooting radios and radio accessories for mission critical customers; specifically experience with EMI/RF noise and mechanical robustness. Experience with product manufacturing; the ability to evaluate manufacturing processes and testing to reduce defects. Experience with Land Mobile Radio, LTE, Wi-Fi, Bluetooth, GPS, and other communications technologies. Experience working with component vendors. Strong debugging and problem-solving skills. Effective written and oral communication skills.
