GENERAL SUMMARY:
Production Associate will manufacture Adhesives.
While performing the duties of this job, the associate is regularly required to stand, use hands, reach walk, stoop, kneel, and crouch.
While performing the duties of this job, the associate is regularly exposed to moving mechanical parts, exposed to fumes and airborne particles and must be able to wear a respirator mask when working in certain areas. This will require a clean-shaven face. The associate may be exposed to the environment and a wide range of temperatures. The noise level is usually loud.
ESSENTIAL JOB FUNCTIONS:
- Manufacture and package a variety of products through staging, mixing, blending, and packaging tasks.
- Operate a variety of mixing / blending equipment across the plant floor as needed
- Reads work order or formula to determine types and quantities of materials to weigh and procedure to be followed for manufacturing process.
- Starts machine and observes operation to detect malfunctions of machine. Stops machine and reports malfunction to supervisor.
- Dumps materials in prescribed sequence into vat, hopper or mixing pot.
- Monitor and log time and temperature as specified on Batch ticket.
- Records weight of materials used for production records and maintains perpetual inventory of materials used and on hand by recording and marking drums
- Previous experience in a batch manufacturing setting preferred
- Maintain an accurate inventory and minimizing waste.
- Ensure good housekeeping of all work area. Cleans work area, machines, tools, and equipment.
- Operates line and QC's material that is being produced.
- Inspects and packages finish product as needed.
- Moves finished product to designated areas.
- Willingness to follow plant policies and practices to ensure safety, quality, service
- Exhibit sense of ownership, accountability, and attention to detail
- Any duties and responsibility assigned for the department
