Description

We are looking for a detail-oriented and experienced part time Accountant to join our team. As an Accountant, you will be responsible for managing and overseeing the financial operations of our organization. You will play a key role in ensuring the accuracy and integrity of financial records, preparing financial statements, and analyzing financial data to support decision-making.

You will contribute to accelerating the maturation of our four unique businesses into dominant industry forces within a span of 3 years from hire.

Furthermore, you will take charge of the financial management of three distinct businesses, each poised to become a leader in their respective markets.

Responsibilities
  • Managing all aspects of general ledger, including maintaining accurate and up-to-date records

  • Implement a robust bookkeeping system

  • Preparing and analyzing financial statements, including balance sheets, income statements, and cash flow statements

  • Conducting month-end and year-end close processes, including reconciliations and journal entries

  • You will harness insights from data to develop strategies that will not only cut costs but dramatically improve efficiency.

  • Assisting in the preparation of budgets and forecasts

  • Monitoring and analyzing financial performance, highlighting trends and variances

  • Assisting with the preparation of tax returns and other financial compliance requirements

  • Collaborating with internal and external stakeholders to provide financial information and support

  • Establishing financial controls and expense audits


Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in Accounting or related field

  • Proven experience as an Accountant, preferably in a similar role

  • Proficient in accounting software and Microsoft Office suite

  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills

  • Excellent attention to detail and organizational skills

  • Knowledge of USA financial regulations and compliance standards

  • Effective communication and interpersonal skills

  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team

  • CPA or other relevant certifications are a plus

  • Availability to work 20 hours a week and meet with the US team between 4:30pm - 7:30pm PST
