Salary:

Reveal Excavation is looking for motivated and experienced Grading Foreman to work in the Missoula Area.  We are a medium sized company that performs a variety of work ranging from road construction, deep utility installation, foundation and building pad excavation for commercial site development. 

We are looking for team members that want to join our team of hard-working individuals who work safely and deliver high-quality results to our customers.  This is an hourly position with accrued paid time off.

 

 

Qualifications:

  • Must have a valid driver’s license and clean driving record
  • Minimum 5 years operating experience
  • Strong organizational skills with the ability to work independently, manage multiple priorities and meet deadlines
  • Ability to read and thoroughly understand construction plans and specifications
  • Must be able to multi-task
  • Needs an understanding and skills in the operation of all types of equipment
  • Must have basic computer skills
  • Excellent communication skills—both written and verbal
  • Ability to problem solve and communicate corrective actions quickly and effectively
  • Ability to work flexible schedules as project management demands fluctuate
  • Ability to display a professional and courteous attitude towards all team members and customers
  • Experience and extensive knowledge in foundation excavations, slab preps, grading and water and sewer utility installations
  • Ability run project with limited site supervision
  • At least 5+ years of grading experience
  • At least 2+ years of supervisory experience
  • Must understand survey staking
  • Thorough understanding of grading, paving, curb & gutter construction and specifications

 

Role Overview:
This position is responsible to and will need to display a professional and courteous attitude with customers and team members. They will plan, direct, and coordinate activities of designated project to ensure goals or objectives of the project are accomplished within prescribed time frame. They may perform other duties as assigned.

Responsibilities include, but are not limited to the following:

  • Review plans & proposal specifications
  • Manage assigned projects that were successfully bid
  • Maintain documentation of quantities and value of work estimated/completed to support forecasting for future project performance
  • Coordinate daily crew activities to maximize productivity and quality
  • Enter Daily Timecards / Diaries
  • Monitor/Manage subcontractors work
  • Communicate with project engineers and project managers as needed
  • Operate equipment as necessary to maintain maximum efficiency
  • Teach, educate, and manage subordinates time to maximize efficiency
  • Ensure safety and environmental regulation compliance
  • Assure all company safety policies and procedures are followed to prevent any and all unsafe actions, processes and behaviors observed
  • Other misc. duties as directed by supervisor
