Our client is a busy and well-established outpatient radiology practice located in Florida. They are dedicated to providing high-quality diagnostic services to their patients. Currently, they are seeking an experienced Ultrasound Technologist to join their team. If you are a skilled professional with expertise in abdomen, OB/GYN, small parts, and vascular ultrasound, we encourage you to apply.
Responsibilities:
- Perform diagnostic ultrasound examinations on patients, including but not limited to abdomen, OB/GYN, small parts, and vascular studies.
- Ensure patient comfort and safety during the procedure, providing clear instructions and answering any questions they may have.
- Operate ultrasound equipment with precision, maintaining the highest standard of image quality.
- Collaborate with physicians and healthcare providers to interpret and report findings accurately.
- Maintain accurate patient records, including ultrasound images and reports, in compliance with regulatory requirements.
- Stay up-to-date with the latest developments and best practices in ultrasound technology and radiology.
- Assist in maintaining a clean and organized ultrasound suite, ensuring all equipment is in good working condition.
- Foster a positive and empathetic patient experience through excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Perform ultrasound-guided procedures, if experienced and trained.
Qualifications:
- ARDMS (American Registry for Diagnostic Medical Sonography) registration in abdomen and/or OB/GYN is required.
- RVT (Registered Vascular Technologist) certification is a plus.
- Previous experience as an Ultrasound Technologist, preferably in a clinical or outpatient setting.
- Proficiency in performing abdominal, OB/GYN, small parts, and vascular ultrasound examinations.
- Knowledge of ultrasound-guided procedures is an advantage.
- Strong communication and patient care skills, with the ability to explain procedures clearly and provide reassurance to patients.
- Understanding of pathology and the ability to identify abnormalities in ultrasound images.
- Must be a Florida resident to apply.
