Job Description

Were seeking an experienced professional who has the passion and energy to lead one or more of the following key service lines in our Southeast Operations: Subsurface Utility (SUE), Survey, Municipal and CEI services. Youll coordinate with other operations in the office to cultivate a team environment that leads to efficient and collaborative results.

You'll be expected to have familiarity with the Florida marketplace and be able to capitalize on client relationships and market opportunities. Your professional acumen will propel you to leverage the network of various city and county governments as well as private clients.


On any given day, youll:

  • Take the lead in successfully marketing and winning Subsurface Utility (SUE), Survey, Municipal and CEI services related projects from public sector clients including cities, counties and townships as well as private sector clients.
  • Develop the long-range strategic plan, the annual business plan and the current year marketing plan for the group with particular emphasis on group P&L, capital purchase, and staff training.
  • Be accountable for key metrics including revenue and profitability goals, workload backlog, billing, and accounts receivable.
  • Supervise the work activities of project managers, engineers, technicians and other assigned specialists.
  • Oversee the technical production of all project work, assuring conformance with quality standards of the firm and the requirements of the contract.
  • Provide for and guide staff development.
  • Act as the company representative and spokesperson in the community, as well as be active in civic and professional organizations.
  • Conduct business development including client contact, marketing, and monitoring client satisfaction.
  • Understand and support corporate policies and procedures.
  • Prepare contract documents including scope of work, project schedule, and fee estimates, and negotiate with clients and sub-consultants.
  • Prepare and oversee quality assurance and quality control procedures.


Required Qualifications:

  • Professional certification/licence (i.e., FL PSM, PE)
  • Prior experience in supervising staff, managing projects, developing new and maintaining existing clients.
  • Valid drivers license and good driving record.


Desired Skills and Experiences:

  • Bachelorsdegree in land surveying, geography, civil engineering, or other related disciplines.
  • Eagerness to cultivate a team environment where all staff members feel valued and supported and all ideas flow freely.

History of coordination between design engineers and field services (Survey, SUE, and CEI)

Background working with FDOT and FL municipalities

Background in telecom and utility CEI

Strong professional network

Understanding of Survey and Geospatial technology (i.e., HD scanning, UAS, photogrammetry)

Able to work in the Tampa office on a routine basis
