Area Leader

Timpte is looking for an Area Leader at our David City, NE Manufacturing Facility.

As an Area Leader, you will be responsible for leadership and supervision of specified area including safety performance, product quality, productivity, throughput, and department metrics while encouraging high levels of employee communication and morale.

Job Responsibilities

• Direct supervision of manufacturing personnel in designated area

• Ensuring personnel are performing work safely and efficiently while maintaining quality and improvements as a priority

• Responsible for tools and materials in department and inspects, including quality inspection prior to being released from designated area

• Utilize proper work processes and procedures

• 90% tactical focus, 10% strategic focus

Desired Skills, Knowledge, and Qualifications

• Prior manufacturing experience and supervisory experience preferred.

• Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written.

• Required to read and interpret blueprints, specifications, and trailer schedules provided in English.

• Knowledge to operate machines, hand tools, tape measures, cranes, and other equipment.

• Knowledge of computer systems including Microsoft Office products.

• Must possess or gain knowledge of Timpte demand flow principles such as Kanban, product synchronization, labor calculations, work content calculations, etc.

• Required to work with general supervision and make basic quality decisions.

• Ability to troubleshoot problems and resolve with root cause analysis.
