Job Description
Position Overview: The Senior Financial Analyst (SFA) has a vital role in the success of Restoration Forest Products (RFOR). For the first six months, the SFA will focus on supporting the multimillion-dollar CAPEX build, cash management, and the ramp-up of manufacturing operations. After the CAPEX build is complete, the job focus will turn to P&L reporting, variance analysis, manufacturing Key Performance Indicator (KPI) reporting, and Enterprise Resource Planning (ERP) implementation. To apply the candidate must have experience reporting P&L variance analysis in addition to one of the following: CAPEX build, cash management, or ERP implementation. A successful candidate for this job will have attention to detail, data management and version control, and curiosity with a willingness to ask questions and find answers.
Duties and Responsibilities:
CAPEX Build Duties:
- Engage with project teams to develop and maintain project budget and forecast.
- Conduct detailed analysis of project financial actuals, estimates, and budgets.
- Work with the project team to conduct deep dives into project actuals, trends, and risk.
- Analyze trends and develop project variance and metrics reports.
- Provide project variance explanations to visualize the “why” behind the numbers.
Cash Management/Treasury Duties:
- Maintain 90-day rolling cash forecasts, daily cash positioning.
- Reconciliation of prior day and monthly cash activities.
- Assist in the development of check run.
Operations:
- Maintain the integrity of the P&L by reviewing for accuracy and consistency.
- Prepare variance analysis of the P&L and manufacturing KPIs.
- Meets with department leaders to review variances.
- Assists in preparing the annual budget and monthly forecast.
- Assists in the development of presentation materials.
- Monitors labor and manufacturing costs and reviews with the operations departments.
- Prepares ad-hoc reporting.
- Other duties as assigned.
Qualifications:
- 5-10 years of experience in Finance and Accounting.
- Degree in Finance or related field.
- Proficient in Excel, Vlookup, Pivot tables.
- Financial modeling.
- Experience with P&L variance analysis and one of the following: CAPEX build, cash management, or ERP implementation.
- An interest in onsite manufacturing and the analysis that goes with it.
- Ability to work cross-functionally.
- A desire to identify issues, suggest solutions, and implement process improvements.
- A desire to learn.
