On behalf of our client, Headway Workforce Solutions is currently seeking Adult Supervisors in the Milwaukee, WI area. Applicants need to be willing to drive to locations in Milwaukee County. Our client is currently working with the Wisconsin Department of Health and Family Services, Bureau of Substance Abuse Services, on an important study called the 2024 Retail Tobacco Compliance Check Survey throughout Wisconsin.

The Wisconsin Department of Health and Family Services, Bureau of Substance Abuse Services has contracted with our client, to carry out this survey to monitor the sale of tobacco products to minors. Federal law requires that all states comply with section 1926 of the Public Health Service Act. In order to do this, Wisconsin must collect scientific survey data detailing any trends in tobacco sales to underage youth over the next several years.

This is where we need your help! We are seeking adults (21 and over) who are able to help train 4 teens (two males and two females), ages 17-20 to work as part of a survey team. You will receive paid training on survey protocol, and travel to between 30 and 110 preassigned locations (such as restaurants, supper clubs, gas stations, etc.) in counties near you. Pay for this position is $19-20 per hour.

Responsibilities of an Adult Supervisor:
· Be available to attend an online training via video conference on Saturday June 8th, 2024.· Be available to work from June 8th, 2024 until and July 13th, 2024 or until locations are completed.
· Be organized, detailed oriented.
· At each location, the youth inspectors will attempt to purchase tobacco products and then return to the car, where the supervisor will fill out a brief survey form. Then they will travel to the next destination.
· Be resourceful, dependable, possess excellent communication skills.
· Possess a valid driver’s license and have access to reliable transportation (daily travel only, no overnight stays required).
· The bulk of the hours will probably be traveling time, as the locations are randomly selected and may be in rural areas.
· Adult supervisors have typically worked 40 to 80 hours total over a period of 4 weeks to complete their assigned survey locations.
· It is important to note that this is simply data collection - there is no penalty for the vendors if they do sell the teen inspector cigarettes.
· Must consent to the performance of a background check, including DMV background.
