Summary/Objective
The Certifying Scientist is responsible for analyzing the results of the complex scientific tests.
Essential Functions

- Analyze, interpret, and report LC-MS/MS data and certify clinical toxicology patient results reports results with reliability, accuracy, and integrity.
- Identify and troubleshoot assay performance issues.
- Communicate with laboratory, sales, and customer service staff concerning laboratory results or questions.
- Comply with established federal, states, and departmental policies and procedures, including: CLIA, OSHA, HIPAA, safety, compliance, and QA.
- Monitor quality control program(s) to ensure that acceptable levels of analytical performance are maintained for each test system.
- Perform and ensure that proficiency testing is conducted in a timely, accurate, and compliant manner.
- Adhere to the laboratory’s quality control and assurance policies and document quality control activities.
- Ability to work independently without direct supervision

Qualifications, Knowledge and Competencies
Qualifications: Associates or Bachelor’s Degree in Science, Certification by ASCP, AMT, or AAB, Medical Technologist License (or Medical Laboratory Technician) in State of Florida and laboratory experience.
Knowledge: Apollo LIMS, Shimadzu LCMS, Insight
Competencies: Technical Capacity, Decision Making, Problem Solving/Analysis, Results Driven
Position Type and Expected Hours of Work
This is a full-time IN OFFICE position. Days of work are Monday through Friday, and hours are day shift and specified by the manager.
