Summary of Responsibilities:

The primary responsibility of the ASI Production Manager is to plan, manage, and direct production and distribution activities; in so doing providing efficient, economical, and timely response to the customers. Assist in the continuous improvement activities to develop and maintain a culture of problem solvers and customer success providers.

Job Duties Include:

  • Oversee customer service, production, shipping and receiving, and repairs to help deliver excellent customer service through continual improvements.
  • Help with production during critical or high volume work to meet customer deadlines.
  • Serve as liaison between departments to assist with production related issues.
  • Assist in the preparation and implementation of budgets, short-term plans, and long-term plans including staffing planning to adjust to business cycles.
  • Initiate and monitor improvement projects to current processes or policies.
  • Oversee and ensure various policies essential to manufacturing procedures are established and maintained such as training, safety, waste reduction, labor costs, quality, etc.
  • Follow-up on open parts orders and lead times for open production orders; correspond branch manager and sales team with updates.
  • Assist management with the evaluation of actual costs and determine causes for overruns in time and materials
  • Input daily timecards into ERP system.
  • Administer annual team member performance reviews and goal setting to encourage team member growth and development.
  • Assist with training team members on proper utilization of tools, procedures, and equipment
  • Monitor and maintain quality control standards.
  • Correct production order discrepancies and analyze cycle count results
  • Maintain an organized and clean production floor.
  • Implement Lean Manufacturing Techniques to eliminate waste, improve efficiency and profitability
  • Perform other duties as assigned by Management.

Skills/Qualifications: Bachelor’s Degree in Business or Engineering Field or at Minimum Five Years of Management Experience; Mentoring/Team Building (ability to work with, lead and motivate others); Strong Communication Skills (written & verbal); Organizational & Planning Skills; Exceptional Customer Service; Experience in Production Environment; Proficient Computer Skills (Microsoft Word & Excel).
