MAJOR FUNCTIONS

· As the Assistant General Manager MDRD you will be responsible for hands-on supervision of the entire front of the house team including supervisors, servers, bartenders, hosts, and stewards. You will also work in concert with outside vendors in regards to cleanliness and with the Chef of MDRD when it comes to the culinary side of the Restaurant.

· Give direction to the Private Dining Sales manager in the creation and discovery of events. Once an event has been assigned, the Sales Manager will begin the coordination of all contractual agreements with the party in accordance with their wishes.

· In accordance with AHC One Degree Hospitality standards, you will maintain consistent service, highest quality food and beverage product, and always striving for the “wow” factor.

· Oversee the training programs for all staff.

· Assure the highest level of guest standards are met on a daily basis.

· Meet regularly with the AHC Hospitality Management team to insure fluidity of communication.

· Oversee the written correspondence to clients in multiple forms of communication.

· Analyze client needs and assist them in developing a program that would best meet these needs while making the most efficient and effective use of hotel facilities.

· Assist other managers on the floor in a management capacity. Must demonstrate the ability to manage the restaurant on off days and cover for vacations as needed by the restaurant.

· Plan menus for clients according to AHC Hospitality food and beverage standards.

· Arrange meeting requirements, additional rooms needed, VIP arrangements, audio visual needs, etc.

· Responsible for adherence to hotel service standards, control of labor expenses, effective inventory management of small wares, linens and furniture, effective scheduling and supervision of banquet staff and assuring guest satisfaction among other assigned task.

· Participate in an “aggressive hospitality program,” greeting all guests with warmth and enthusiasm, and be attentive to their needs while they are with us.

· Learn and follow all hotel policies and procedures pertaining to your area of work. Follow established uniform standards and comply with all other company policies.

· Provide fast and courteous service to our guests; to accomplish this, a well-organized work area must be maintained.

· Conduct yourself in a professional manner at all times as a goodwill ambassador of the AGPH to ensure guest satisfaction.

· Responsible for maintaining energy conservation, loss prevention and recycling programs.

· Directly responsible for the grooming standards and appearance of all banquet staff

· Must be visible in the public space during all meal periods to ensure guest needs are being met.

· Willingness to please guests, ability to get along with co-workers and supervisors.

· Ability to follow established guidelines, procedures and policies.

· Good record of attendance and punctuality at work.

· Adherence to prescribed grooming and appearance standards.

· Willingness to perform other duties as assigned.

· Maintain the Four Diamond Standards set forth by the AGPH.


GENERAL DUTIES

Responsibilities to include:

· Ensure proper and timely service of food and beverages to customers in the restaurant, bar, or lounge areas

· Assume responsibility for all liquor, beer, wine and soft beverage products, their inventories and purchase

· Provide for staff orientation, training and development and teach proper and friendly food and beverage service

· Manage the social media accounts of MDRD and ensure hotel standards are being met.

· Direct the ongoing management of the dining room and bar assuring the utilization of the cost efficient and cost effect means available

· Assure exceptional customer service

· Handle and follow through with customer complaints, in a timely manner.

· Maintain high employee morale, promote staff enthusiasm and teamwork, minimize turnover, assist employees with concerns and support staff in their job functions

· Maintain payroll costs and liquor, wine and soft beverage pour costs within budget

· Assure departmental compliance and follow all safety policies and procedures to protect staff and guests from accident and injury , report all unsafe coniditions.

· Monitoring daily hosting, cashiering, bartending and food service

· Coordinating daily events with the service staff

· Monitor proper set-up, service, sanitation and clearing of tables in the restaurant and bar

· Assure that proper opening and closing procedure are followed

· Ensure that all set-up, break down and cleaning assignments are posted and completed

· Must have open availability with flexible hours

PROFILE OF QUALIFICATIONS

· Previous F&B Management experience

· Must have excellent people skills

· Must have excellent communication skills

· Must have organizational skills

· Knowledgeable in wine service

· Knowledgeable in fine dining service standards

· Must have upbeat, positive, can do attitude and possess the ability to lead and motivate people

· Ability to work long hours and varied shifts often in a fast paced environment

· Previous POS use, training and programming helpful

· At minimum, 3 years of management experience required
