JOB SUMMARY
Keeps the casino building and entry ways clean by performing housekeeping/janitorial duties as required.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
• Maintains casino cleanliness as directed by supervisor.
• Maintains equipment.
• Cleans ash trays, slot bases, removes empty drink containers, and wipe down slot machines.
• Waxes and buffs floors.
• Move chairs, vacuums, mops, and sweeps areas of the casino.
• Empties garbage.
• Cleans restrooms, including sinks, toilets, and floors. Replenishes supplies where needed.
• Cleans windows, counters and chairs.
• Works safely and efficiently, utilizing safe equipment, techniques, and products.
• Is helpful and friendly with other maintenance associates and customers.
• Is current on facility disaster plan and acts accordingly.
• Maintains high and acceptable quality control standards for position responsibilities.
• Other duties as assigned.

SUPERVISORY RESPONSIBILITIES
This job has no supervisory responsibilities.

QUALIFICATIONS
Ability to use hand, housekeeping, and power tools. Knowledge in using cleaning solutions and repairing equipment. Experience in general maintenance and ground care preferred. A minimum of 6 months prior experience is preferred but not required. Must be a minimum of 18 years of age.

EDUCATION and/or EXPERIENCE
High school diploma or GED equivalent.

CERTIFICATES, LICENSES, REGISTRATIONS
  • While employed, must maintain a valid and active Blue Lake Tribal Gaming Commission License.
  • Must complete TIPS (Training for Intervention Procedures) training for serving alcohol responsibly within three months of being employed and maintain a valid certificate while employed thereafter.
