Summer Retail Supervisor

Join the Camp Buckner team as a Summer Retail Supervisor! Oversee the daily operations of the coffee and gift shop at Camp Buckner, ensuring exceptional customer service, efficient workflow, and adherence to quality standards. In addition to performing barista duties, you will provide guidance and support to barista team members, manage inventory, and assist in administrative tasks to optimize the overall performance of the shop.

Camp Buckner is an interdenominational, recreational, Christian retreat and conference center that offers services to churches, youth groups, businesses and other various ministries. We strive to bring glory to God in all things and provide a Christ centered atmosphere for each one of our guests.

What You'll Do

• Supervise and lead a team of baristas, providing training, coaching, and feedback to ensure consistent performance and a positive work environment.
• Coordinate and delegate tasks among barista staff, including assigning work stations, managing breaks, and ensuring coverage during peak hours.
• Monitor and maintain inventory levels of coffee supplies, merchandise, and equipment, placing orders and managing deliveries to ensure availability and freshness.
• Oversee cash handling procedures, including opening and closing registers, reconciling cash drawers, and preparing daily sales reports.
• Enforce company policies and procedures, including health and safety regulations, food handling guidelines, and customer service standards.
• Handle customer inquiries, complaints, and feedback in a professional and timely manner, striving to resolve issues and exceed customer expectations.
• Assist in the development and implementation of promotional strategies and marketing initiatives to drive sales and increase customer engagement.
• Perform barista duties as needed, including preparing and serving coffee beverages, operating equipment, and maintaining cleanliness and organization of the shop.
• Adhere to safety and quality regulations.

What You'll Bring to the Team

• High School Diploma (or G.E.D.) required. Must be age 18 or older.
• Current certification or the willingness to obtain and maintain a food handlers certification.
• Courteous and attentive to guests.
• Ability to work as part of a team and follow instructions.
• Ability to meet the physical demands of the job, such as staying on your feet, climbing stairs and carrying heavy objects
