The Role

The Accounts Payable Specialist performs a variety of accounting functions related to the maintenance/processing of invoices for clients and vendors.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities

The essential functions include, but are not limited to the following:

  • Process daily AP statements/reports.
  • Receive and verify invoices and requisitions for goods and services.
  • Manage and record weekly check run.
  • Process specific financial forms (e.g., tax forms, inventory/supplies order forms, etc.)
  • Verify coding and obtaining signatures for specific forms and records.
  • Maintain inventory files and financial documents.
  • Record administrative and office expenses.
  • Produce and prepare daily, weekly, monthly financial statements/reports for Finance Director.
  • Verify transactions comply with financial policies and procedures established by the company.
  • Perform other duties as assigned

Minimum Qualifications

  • Experience in Accounts Payable
  • High school diploma required; some higher education preferred.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
  • Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail.
  • Proficient with Microsoft Office Suite or related software.
  • Ability to understand and follow written and verbal instructions.
