Summary:

Stock Clerk is responsible to store and distribute material, tools, equipment, and products within the warehouse, as well assist in a variety of warehouse duties as delegated by the warehouse supervisor.

Main Activities/Responsibilities:

  • Records all movement of parts in PLEX, both in and out of stock room.
  • Ensures that all parts issued are used in accordance with FIFO.
  • Records damage, loss, or surplus of goods and materials stored in the warehouse and reporting the same to the supervisor.
  • Assists shipping and receiving unloading trucks, as required.
  • Moves materials and items from receiving or storage areas to shipping or to other designated areas.
  • Places and sorts materials or items on pallets or racks, shelves or in bins according to predetermined sequence such as size, type, style, color or product code, for distribution.
  • Assists in counting of physical inventory.
  • Sweeps, dusts and mops. Organizes warehouse and work area for orderliness at all times.
  • Wears the proper safety equipment.
  • Performs tasks in accordance with applicable requirements of the FDA Quality System Regulation, ISO 13485, MDD, CMDCAS and any other applicable regulations.
  • Duties, responsibilities, and activities may change at any time with or without notice.

Competencies:

  • While performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly required to use hands to finger, handle or feel; reach with hands and arms; and talk or hear.
  • Occasionally required to stand; sit; walk; and stoop, kneel, climb or balance.
  • Must regularly lift and/or move objects up to 100 pounds.
  • Specific vision abilities required by this job include close vision, distance vision, color vision, peripheral vision, depth perception and ability to adjust focus.
  • Demonstrates technical aptitude, problem solving and teamwork skills
  • Reads and writes English, follow verbal instructions and use simple math.
  • Organizational skills.
  • Proficiency using Microsoft, Excel and Outlook.
  • Familiarity with domestic and international medical device regulatory requirements (FDA, ISO-13485, MDD 93/42/EEC, Health Canada regulations, etc.) preferred.

Education and Experience:

  • High School degree and 1-year warehouse of experience.
  • Or 2 years’ warehouse experience preferred
