Ophthalmic Technician: Freeport, IL
Our customer in Freeport, Illinois are seeking motivated individuals to join their team as an Ophthalmic Technician who can contribute to the overall success of the company. An ophthalmic technician performs ophthalmic screening and testing in order to provide the ophthalmologist with information needed to assist in the care of patients' eyes and eyesight.
Responsibilities of the Ophthalmic Technician:
- Bring the patient back to the exam room to begin eye exam.
- Go over medical history with patient.
- Perform initial vision screening.
- Take patient images.
- Prepare patient charts.
Ophthalmic Technician Requirements and Qualifications:
- Must have reliable transportation as this person needs to rotate from the Freeport, Lanark, and Stockton offices per a schedule.
- Prior experience helpful but not required, willing to train.
- Outstanding written and verbal communication skills.
- Excellent customer service skills with both ophthalmologist and patients.
- Basic computer skills.
- Time management skills.
Pay for Ophthalmic Technician: $15.50/hour.
Ophthalmic Technician Benefits:

Schedule: Monday from 8am–6pm and Tuesday-Friday from 8am-5pm.
