We are currently seeking a Production Employee to join our dynamic team and contribute to our continued success.

Position Overview:

As a Production Employee, you will play a vital role in our manufacturing process by efficiently and effectively carrying out various tasks related to laundry production. You will work closely with other team members to ensure the seamless operation of our production lines, meeting quality standards, and production goals.

Responsibilities:

1. Operate machinery and equipment used in the manufacturing process, including washers, dryers, ironers, and folding machines.

2. Monitor production processes to ensure efficiency, quality, and safety standards are met.

3. Handle incoming soiled linens by loading, sorting, recording, and transferring them to other departments.

4. Continuously sort, grade, and handle clean linens.

5. Operate garment press machinery, sort, fold, or feed linens into ironers or folding machines.

6. Inspect finished products to verify conformance to quality standards and specifications.

7. Assist in loading and unloading materials and finished products.

8. Conduct manual folding of linens as needed and repair linens with holes or raveled seams while ensuring quality standards are met.

9. Pack sanitized garment linens according to customer specifications.

10. Retrieve cleaned/dried linens, bundle them, and load them into carts for transport.

11. Manually load carts onto delivery trucks and operate forklifts, pallet movers, and other material handling equipment.

12. Adapt to job rotation requirements as necessary.

13. Follow all safety protocols and procedures to maintain a safe working environment.

14. Collaborate with team members and supervisors to troubleshoot issues and improve production processes.

15. Maintain accurate production records and documentation as required.

16. Always adhere to company policies and procedures.

Requirements:

1. Proficiency in reading, writing, computer, and math skills typically obtained at a high school level.

2. Previous experience in a manufacturing or production environment preferred.

3. Strong attention to detail and commitment to quality.

4. Ability to meet production and safety standards while being flexible to alter shifts and positions based on production needs.

5. Ability to operate machinery and equipment effectively and safely.

6. Excellent teamwork skills and readiness to collaborate closely with team members.

7. Good communication skills.

8. Ability to follow instructions and work independently when necessary.

9. Willingness to work in a fast-paced environment and adapt to changing priorities.

10. Flexibility to work various shifts as needed.

11. Physical ability to lift and move heavy objects and stand for extended periods.

Typical Physical Activity:

• Physical demands include standing, walking, reaching overhead, bending, twisting, pushing, pulling, grasping, lifting items weighing 25 lbs. or more, and stooping.
• Ability to move rolling carts of varying weights, including those up to approximately 1200 lbs.
• Meeting physical demands throughout the entire shift.

Work Environment:

• Working in production areas of an industrial laundry facility, involving exposure to large machinery, temperature variations, noise, odors, humidity, lint, dust, chemicals, and other hazards.
• Constant physical activity including standing, bending, stooping, walking, and handling materials weighing up to 25 lbs. or more.
• Common tasks include pushing/pulling laundry carts weighing up to 1500 lbs.
