Summary

We are hiring an enthusiastic Two Year Old Teacher to join our team of long-serving, dedicated professionals who passionately embrace their work with children. With a Christian based curriculum and a strong parent-teacher network.
Each day, our teachers have the opportunity to make a difference
in the lives of the children, creating joy in each child's life by teaching
through play and hands-on activities.

This position would be available beginning the end of July 2024
for the 2024 Fall/Spring semester and will be a three day a week position.
Monday- Thursday 9:00am to 3:00pm and then include an 8-week summer session
Monday- Thursday same times. The Two's Teacher is responsible for
coordinating the Christian based curriculum, and managing the day-to-day
operational activities of the classroom. Teachers must understand children's
cognitive, social, emotional and physical development in order to ensure a safe
and stimulating classroom environment where children are actively engaged and
encouraged to succeed. The Teacher must be skilled in communicating with both
children and adults in order to meet the needs of the children, and resolve
parental concerns.

Duties

·Coordinate and implement educational curriculum by developing classroom activities based on developmentally appropriate practices and early learning standards
·Lead by example; encourage teaching team success through modeling and coaching.
·Plan individual and group age-appropriate activities to actively engage children and encourage social, cognitive and emotional growth.
·Maintain frequent communications with parents through informal discussions, progress reports, and parent-teacher conferences.
·Ensure all center policies and state regulations are met.
·Ensure a healthy classroom environment - including maintaining appropriate hygiene and cleanliness standards and safety and security of children.
·Maintain accurate records, forms and files.
·Maintain personal professional development plan to ensure continuous quality improvement.
·Inspire children to communicate with each other in a friendly manner
·Oversee children in order to make sure they are safe
·Adhere with all relevant health and safety standards

Requirements

·Minimum of 2 years of professional child care experience.
·Must enjoy working with children
·Great amount of patience and flexibility
·Strong oral and written communication skills.
·High energy and the ability to work well with others (staff, children, and parents) and to foster a team environment.
·A strong understanding of child development.
·Infant/child CPR and First Aid certification or willing to obtain it.
·Must clear full background check and must pass health screening.
·Requirements include the ability to take frequent walks, use hands and fingers, handle objects, tools or controls, talk to and hear voices at many levels. May also be required to kneel, bend, squat or crawl.
·Excellent leadership, organizational, and interpersonal skills.

Benefits

We do not offer paid leave, or insurance benefits as a part time center.
However, we follow BPS school schedule for all breaks, Christmas Break, Thanksgiving Break, Spring Break, etc... all those are paid holidays off.
