Salary: $15,600-22,000 BOE

DOMESTIC VIOLENCE CONSORTIUM COORDINATOR (PART-TIME 20 HOURS PER WEEK)


The Legal Aid Society of Rochester, NY is seeking a part-time candidate whose primary responsibilities are to provide coordination to ensure communication and support of the Rochester/Monroe County Domestic Violence Consortium (DVC). This individual will have the opportunity to be part of a team of professionals who have dedicated themselves to the mission of LASROCthe provision of high-quality civil legal services to low and moderate-income litigants.

 

Requirements:

  • Scheduling, recording, and distributing minutes for routine monthly meetings of the DVC’s five core committees and for quarterly general membership meetings
  • Preparing correspondence and managing membership communication (routine correspondence and newsletter distribution)
  • Data and file systems management
  • Supporting activities required to satisfy the Improving Criminal Justice Response Grant, which is the primary funding source for the DVC
  • Providing timely administrative support to the Executive Board and Committee Chairs


Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s Degree preferred; a minimum AAS degree required. An equivalent combination of education and experience may be acceptable
  • Strong attention to detail, exemplary organizational skills, and the ability to perform multiple tasks
  • Strong computer skills, familiarity with Microsoft Office Suite (including OneDrive and SharePoint)
  • Demonstrated ability to be an effective team player, performing tasks with a positive and cooperative attitude
  • Demonstrated excellent written and oral communication skills
  • Demonstrated the ability to work independently and with minimal day-to-day supervision required
  • Demonstrated good problem-solving skills and the ability to bring people together to achieve DVC’s mission and goals
  • Ability to travel occasionally
  • Knowledge of domestic violence issues preferred
