Waggoner Engineering is a leading civil engineering firm committed to providing innovative and sustainable solutions. We are currently seeking a skilled Water Distribution Operator to join our team in Meridian, MS. If you have experience in water distribution operations and hold a Class IV License, we invite you to apply.
Responsibilities
- Distribution System Monitoring: Monitor and operate the water distribution system to ensure consistent and reliable water supply to customers.
- Leak Detection: Perform routine inspections and leak detection activities to identify and address water distribution system leaks promptly.
- Valve Operations: Operate and maintain water distribution valves, hydrants, and other related infrastructure components.
- Emergency Response: Respond to and manage emergency situations, such as water main breaks or system malfunctions, implementing corrective actions promptly.
- Record Keeping: Maintain accurate records of water distribution activities, inspections, repairs, and other relevant data.
Qualifications
- License: Valid Class IV Water Distribution Operator License issued by the relevant regulatory authority.
- Education: High school diploma or equivalent. Additional coursework or training in water distribution operations is preferred.
- Experience: Minimum of 2 years of experience in water distribution operations.
- Technical Skills:
- Knowledge of water distribution system components, including valves, hydrants, and meters.
- Familiarity with operation and maintenance of water distribution infrastructure.
- Communication Skills: Effective communication skills to coordinate with team members, report on distribution activities, and interact with customers.
