What You'll Do:

• Administer prescribed medications and treatments in accordance with the approved care plan.
• Explain procedures and treatments to resident and family to gain cooperation, understanding, and to allay apprehension.
• Observe residents and record significant conditions or changes then relay information to supervisor or physician of resident's condition, reaction to drugs, treatments or if there is a significant incident.
• Takes temperature, blood pressure, pulse, and other vital signs. Documents physical assessments of assigned residents.
• Supervises work of caregivers to include staff development, training, rewarding, and disciplining.
• Performs direct nursing care and other duties when necessary.
