Job Description

This position will directly report to the Maintenance Managers and work with the all Management, Production personnel, and Maintenance personnel. Primarily responsible for performing major building, HVAC, boiler, ammonia, electrical, and repairs as necessary. Responsible for compliance with all company policies, SQF regulations and local state and federal policies, laws and regulations.

Essential Job Duties

  • Troubleshoot Electrical/Computer Programming
  • Diagnose and repair Mechanical Failures (i.e. bearings, pumps, etc.)
  • Perform advanced preventative maintenance on machines and building as assigned daily.
  • Maintain inventory of repair equipment and supplies.
  • General Welding
  • CIP Knowledge (pumps, valves, controller, etc)
  • Work with the Purchasing Supervisor to assure repair parts are ordered accurately and in a timely manner.
  • Assist with unplanned machine breakdowns as needed.
  • Maintain daily paperwork tracking water usage, boiler testing, monitor ammonia system, etc.
  • Ensure safe use of equipment.
  • Perform other maintenance duties as requested.

Qualifications

  • Basic reasoning and thinking skills.
  • Able to operate skid loaders and pallet jacks.
  • Communication and Intrapersonal skills.
  • Basic computer skills able to use preventative maintenance software.
  • Follow and adhere to standard operating procedures (SOP’s) and safety requirements.

Physical Requirements

  • Stoop, kneel, crawl and bend.
  • Lift 50 – 100lb
