Wash Plant Operator

Join the fast-growing Duininck Concrete team as a Wash Plant Operator. This role is responsible for operating and maintaining Wash Plant equipment that is used to produce aggregate. We prioritize safety first, then quality and then production to ensure a good outcome for everyone.

Responsible for:

• Safely operates Wash Plant to produce aggregate as specified by supervisor.
• Perform Wash Plant set up and take down.
• Ensure Wash Plant and surrounding work area is free from debris.
• Assist with Wash Plant maintenance and repair, unplug and shovel off conveyors and screens. Change out screens, rollers, liners, etc.
• Report to shop when equipment needs maintenance and repair.
• May operate skid steer to move parts and materials as needed.
• Works closely with other crew members to coordinate work and ensure safety.
• Keeps equipment clean and prepares equipment for transport on flatbed when needed.
• Maintain orderliness, cleanliness, and support a safe work environment.

What we look for:

• High school graduate or equivalent
• Experience with crusher mechanics preferred.
• CDL Class A preferred
• MSHA
• OSHA
• Read and understand documents in English such as safety rules, operating and maintenance instructions, and procedure manuals.
• Write routine reports and correspondence.
• Speak effectively with customers or employees.

PHYSICAL DEMANDS:

• Stand, walk, bend, kneel, lift, stoop, crouch, crawl, stretch, sit, reach, and grasp.
• Lift up to 50 pounds.
• Close, distance, color, peripheral vision, depth perception, and ability to judge distances and spatial relationships.
• Extended work hours.

WORK ENVIRONMENT:

• Work indoors and occasionally in outdoor weather conditions.
• Work in a moderate noise environment.
• Work in fumes, airborne particles, and with vibrations
