Job Description:

Responsible for all payroll processing activities, including contract, hourly, weekly payrolls, etc., along with payroll/benefit changes, withholdings, leave accruals, and payroll taxes.

Duties and Responsibilities:

  1. Complete processing of payrolls and reviews the work of others for accuracy and completeness.
  2. Process payroll changes related to employee salary/position modifications, benefit and retirement changes, employee overloads, etc.
  3. Coordination with Human Resources for completeness and accuracy of employee payroll records.
  4. Generate reports for use in reconciling third-party billings, withholdings, payroll taxes, etc. and processes third-party payments to vendors.
  5. Assist employees with questions, paperwork, and payroll requirements to ensure customer satisfaction and accurate payroll processing.
  6. Supervise student hourly employees working within the Payroll Office.
  7. Other duties as assigned.

Education and Experience Requirements:

  1. Graduation from an accredited four-year college or university with a bachelor's degree in accounting or closely related field.

Preferred qualifications:

  1. 2-4 years payroll experience
